To make sure that each new applicant is evaluated under the same criteria and to determine the most appropriate placement within the school body, Lyford Cay International School follows a set protocol for its admission decisions.

Nursery Class Applicants:

• a completed application form
• application fee of $500.00
• a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate or passport (the original must later be brought into the school office for copying by school personnel)
• completed health forms with immunization record.
• Nursery class students will be scheduled for a school visit and their parents will be required to attend an interview and complete an additional student information questionnaire. Due to size limitations among our Pre-Nursery and Nursery classes, it is recommended that you contact our Admissions Office to begin this process as soon as possible.

All Other Applicants:    

• a completed application form
• application fee of $500.00
• a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate or passport (the original must later be brought into the school office for copying by school personnel)
• completed health forms with immunization records
• official school records for the last two years sent directly from the previous school
• all previous transcripts must be submitted and reference letters from 2 teachers and the school counselor
• the result of any standardized testing the student has done in the last 3 years (for example (Stanford tests, CTP4 test, IOWA, etc)
• any other relevant placement information (specific learning needs, information about English proficiency)
• admission tests and interview will be scheduled for each individual after all documentation has been provided. Additionally, our admissions team is always available to answer questions and aid in the application process for new students or moving families.
