Lyford Cay International School

The school is a purpose-built gated and secure facility, situated in the beautiful western part of the island of New Providence, Nassau - Bahamas. There are 28 classrooms, a library/media center, music studio, art studio, computer lab and a science laboratory.

Each classroom is equipped with multi-media computers, interactive digital white-boards and full on-line service to the Internet. There is a campus wide wireless system for all students and staff.

Sports facilities include a new six lane 25m swimming pool; a large sports field accommodating soccer pitches, softball diamond, and running track; also a beach volleyball and basketball courts.

The school’s own sail boats and kayaks are kept on a floating dock in the nearby marina, and there are several playground areas for the younger students.

We are committed to development both inside and outside the classroom. The latest improvements include: curriculum enhancements in the literacy, music, advisory and mathematics programs; Early Learning Center renovation; the new six lane 25-meter competitive swimming pool; installation of a new electrical generator and total school air conditioning system; expansion of the grounds; improvements to the IT infrastructure; and a new elementary and Kindergarten playframe area.
